The Stalker, who, since Bonemaker's death, prefers to be called the Assassin, has become markedly
more evil since killing the Cubby presidential candidate. Once ineffectual and bungling (see episode 2, in which his efforts to "meld" with Huck Forest are quashed by the unfriendly end of Huck's bullwhip), his gunning down of Bonemaker, although unintentional, has turned out to be "very empowering" for him. Like an unnatural plant he has thrived in the spotlight, and authorities worry that he shan't likely give it up without further incident. In addition to sporting a sleek new look, the Assassin has transformed himself from the inside. "He's really gotten in touch with the source of his evil, and he's making a real effort to make the leap from little-league nuisance to first-rate villain," a recent press release touted. If public opinion is any indicator, it seems his effort is paying off. Since episode 6, in which Bonemaker was assassinated live via satellite, more than 60% of those polled now view the Assassin as a "serious threat" to the cast of CubbyVision, as opposed to a mere 30% this past October. At this point, little is known about the stalker aside from the fact that he was born in California's Central Valley in 1970 and christened Jamie Nellieman, a name which would win him considerable ridicule throughout his pivotal early years. An autobiography of Nellieman, a.k.a. the Assassin, is expected to be published sometime next fall by Bunwolf Press. Excerpts of the book, tentatively titled Die Straight Pig Huck will be made available here at cubby.net as early as September 2001. Keep this page bookmarked till then. back to the cast page |
