SAN FRANCISCO -- Bean Tails, a new addition to Cubby.net, is taking California and the rest of
the nation by storm. The new area of the Cubby Creatures' Web site was conceived and developed by
Cubby Control inhabitant "BK." BK says he was inspired to start Bean Tails
by his "inherent love for all animals and animal byproducts." Bean Tails, which is named after Bean, the cat who lives at Cubby Control along with BK and others, and who is reported to have supernatural powers, including being able to walk on her hind legs, seems to be a cross between reflections by BK and others, a history of Bean, and letters from readers. Though BK describes it as "a site devoted entirely to my cat, Bean," many of the entries have nothing to do with her, including, for example, an e-mail exchange between BK and "jnxxx" about a wedding. Despite this minor inconsistency, Bean Tails has developed a readership so devout that one reader wrote a lengthy letter lambasting BK for not adhering to his initial email advertisement stating that each week there would be a new entry. As of now, Bean Tails includes eight entries, a picture collage of Bean, a description of the site, contact info and a lost-cat flier. |
