SAN FRANCISCO -- In a move unprecedented by a national magazine in the United States, BUST magazine showered praises upon the recently released Cubby Creatures EP "Who Remembers Kathy Barra?" Calling it "spunky" and "cute," Debbie Stoller, the editor-in-chief of BUST, obvisously has a favorite song with "Knitting Bee," which she says "is the main reason to pick up the CD."

The issue in which the review of Kathy Barra appears is the first once since Debbie Stoller and creative director Laurie Henzel bought back the rights to publish the magazine from the old publisher, which went out of business back in October of 2001.

The Cubby Creatures themselves were ecstatic when they first learned that their EP was going to be reviewed by BUST and were thrilled when the magazine finally hit the stands. Though in a statement made to the press, bassist Brian Weaver expressed concern that the song "Knitting Bee" was overshadowing the title track of the EP "Who Remembers Kathy Barra?" saying, quote, "We know that Knitting Bee is catchy and more radio friendly, but Kathy Barra was for us the main focus of that EP. We do hope, though, that people will be turned on to the song through 'Knitting Bee'." The review is on page 74 of the Spring 2002 issue of BUST.
