DOWN BELOW WORLD
by  REPTIEL
1. A Really Deep Groove (Aleph to Bet)

After Sine is initiated as Aleph Adept by the Alien Elven Souls in the Temple of the Avian Aliens (this took place at the end of The Planet of Progkp), a sonic boom strikes the temple and a really deep groove opens up in the earth splitting the temple in half. Sine and the Spirit Usher fall down the crevasse through the planet's layers to an alternate world.

A really deep groove
(opens up)
In the earth
(down below)
A sonic boom
(resonates)
rocks this place
(all around)
An endless crevasse
(swallows us)
down we fall
(darkness now)
It's a really deep groove…

Fall, fall, fall
into the earth
Deep down dark below
Descend to another world
Unlike any known
2. It's an Alternate World

Sine and the Spirit Usher have arrived in an alternate, subterranean world, as the narrator sings. The Spirit Usher points out to Sine that chants and calls can be heard coming from somewhere in the caverns, caves or passageways. They discover some dwellers of this “Down Below World” (aka the “Down Belowers”) in the midst of a ceremony singing a song of praise to a god they call Thos, encouraging each other to surrender their souls to her. These Down Belowers are members of the Cult of Thos and refer to themselves as “Thosians.”

Part I: It's an Alternate World
(It's alternate)
It's an alternate world
(It's alternate)
(Boys and girls)
Haven't you heard?
(Boys and girls)

(It's different)
It's a different scene
(It's different)
(haven't you seen?)
You know what I mean?
(haven't you seen?)

Part II: As Above, So Below
Are you feeling it?
The air is heavy
And the lights are low
As above, so below
Are you hearing it?
All those chants and calls
from the dwellers hereof
As below, so above

Part III: The Cult of Thos (instrumental)

Part IV: Surrender Your Soul
She's a smooth oscillator
a mind alterater
a psych-operator
a soul saturator

You still remember
You still remember
Remember your role
Remember your goal

But you must surrender
You must surrender
Surrender your soul
Surrender your soul

Surrender to Thos
Surrender to Thos
Let go your thoughts
Let go your cause
3. Deep(er) Below

The Thosians relay to Sine the legend of how they came to live in the Down Below World and how they came to believe that there is an ancient god named Thos who lives in the planet's core but has been forgotten for so long by the rest of the Down Belowers that she now lays dormant. They believe that if they can awaken Thos, she will lead them out of the Down Below World and onto the surface of Progkp where they will be able to see the sky and breathe the light air, to live as the their ancient ancestors once lived. They think Sine can help them find Thos and encourage him to come with them in search of her. But for Sine to be successful, they tell him, he must believe in Thos the way they do, as a tangible deity, as the planet itself.

Deep below the surface here we are stone
They buried our bodies with soil and bone
Into the underground we sought for Thos
Deity primeval who's thought for lost

Come with us
Be with Thos
Let your thoughts
Awaken Thos

Revered by the ancients, this god of yore
Believed to reside in the planet’s core
She exhaled through dirt to sky, we were told
Dormant for millennia, rise god of old

Come with us
Be with Thos
Let your thoughts
Awaken Thos

Come with us into the darkness
Dig down deep into your mind's eye
You must arouse and waken her
So she can breathe into the sky

Neither here nor there, Thos is more
She is the planet, crust to core
She is substance, this world is her
Praise her this way and fear no more
4. Searching for Thos

Sine and the Spirit Usher follow the Thosians through the caves, caverns and passageways of the Down Below World. They hear strange sounds and chanting and come upon a man and a woman applying a concoction of soil, ash and muck to their naked bodies. There are others there as well, helping the two spread the mixture on their bodies.

5. Ja'roque

The group of Thosians introduce Sine and the Spirit Usher to Ja'roque, a mystic/shaman covered in soil, ash and muck, who is able to teleport people via a ritualistic ceremony around a fire fueled by coal, with gems, obsidian and crystals thrown in. This is the “Ceremony of Fire,” in which the participants dance, chant and sing in a circle around the fire, encouraging Ja'roque to approach the fire and breathe in its smoke and then exhale it into the cavern thereby transforming the smoke into a mind altering magical concoction and inebriant. When the group awakens, they wonder where they are and whether they've been transported deeper into the planet, closer to the planet's core where the Thosians believe their god resides. The last thing Sine, the Spirit Usher and the Thosians recall is Ja'roque and his sister Ja'vere telling them, "Do what you will do," and "will what you do do."

Part I: The Fire Is Stoked
The fire is stoked
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Here we've convoked
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Our chant evokes
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

This crazy bloke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Breathe in the smoke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Try not to choke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

This is not a joke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

You're our only hope
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Unlike other folk
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Soil, ash, and muck
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Throw off the yoke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Your dance invokes
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Minds be awoke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Exhale the smoke
Ja'roque, Ja'roque

Part II: Where Have We Awoke?
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Exhales the smo-oh-oke
Deeper we go-oh-o
Into the belo-ow
Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Where have we awoke?

Will we ever know?
And where did you go?

Ja'ro-oh-oh-oh-oque
Is this a jo-oh-oke?
You've brought us to the fore?
Closer to planet's core?

Part III: Do What You Will Do
Do you what you will (do)
Do you what you will (do)
Will what you do (do)
Will what you do (do)
Do you what you will (do)
Will what you do (do)

7. Obsidian City

After awaking and regaining their senses, the group exits the cave passage they're in and enters an enormous cavern comprised entirely of obsidian. The inhabitants of this Obisidian City are amazed strangers have traveled such a long way to their city. They know there can only be one reason they have come: to awaken Thos. Predicting oblivion, they tell the group there are some life forms preserved in amber living out this way, thinking if the group confronts the life forms they will be petrified by them, thus preventing oblivion. The Obsidian City denizens direct Sine, the Spirit Usher and the Thosians "down this way" to a passage on the other side of the city.

Obsidian City

Long, long, long, long
It's a long way
Long, long, long, long
It's a long way

Oblivion
Oblivion
Oblivi-on this day

Gone, gone, gone, gone
Gone away
Gone, gone, gone, gone
Gone away

They're living out
They're living out
They're living out this way

Down, down, down, down
Down this way
Down, down, down, down
Down this way
8. Preserved in Amber

After passing through Obsidian City and through the passageway on the other side of the city, Sine and company notice glowing lights in the cave ahead. The lights are coming from large pieces of amber containing mysterious life forms that seem mostly shapeless and shadow-like with large eyes. The Thosians tell Sine that he must breathe onto the amber to free these life forms, making sure not to look them in the eyes. Once freed, the Thosians believe the life forms will be appreciative and provide Sine with powers that will help him awaken Thos. So with eyes closed Sine approaches the large pieces of amber and breathes on them. The amber stones begin to crack and splinter, and the ancient life forms, who have resided inside their amber prisons for eons, break free. These life forms communicate with Sine and the Thosians telepathically, reading their brains, and making them feel what it is like to transcend joy and pain and to be perfectly sane. It is in this lucid state of mind that Sine will be able to find and awaken Thos.

Part II: Life Forms Preserved in Amber
Life forms preserved in amber down below
Emulate a specific sort of glow
Flailing bodies polarized in place
A curious look of wonder on a face

Look at them not directly in the eye
For then you may also petrify
With eyelids closed, give them the breath of life
And witness the forms come slowly alive

Their eyes in gratitude stare at you
Millions of eons coming through
Telepathic through the static
Their purpose no longer enigmatic

The amber begins to crack and splinter
Into the earth the life forms reenter
Their age you're unable to fathom
So long they've resided in this stratum

Part III: The Life Forms Reenter (instrumental)

Part IV: They Totally Know Your Name
They totally know your name
They totally play your game
You'll never be the same
After they read your brain
They totally make you sane
They're totally in refrain
On another plane
Transcending joy and pain
They totally know your name
They totally play your game
9. Turbulent Blobs (instrumental)

Now free, the life forms pass shapelessly and turbulently into the crevices and cracks of the cavern walls.

10. Introit

Sine and company enter the Cave of Stone where Thos resides. Sine has been reborn once already, as Forest Boy on Hobbitozz when he sacrificed the Druid of the Wood to release the Druid's soul and take it into himself, becoming Sine. And now he can become the “thrice-born” if he survives the challenge of Thos.

ENTER...where no one returns
ENTER...do not look forlorn
ENTER...you are the twice-born
ENTER…

ENTER...there is no return
ENTER...do what you have sworn
ENTER...you will be thrice-born
ENTER…
11. Thos Unearthed

Upon seeing Thos asleep on a bed of rock in the Cave of Stone, the Thosians sing the prayer, "Long Thought Lost," to her. Though Sine expresses some doubt about waking Thos and whether gods truly care for those who worship them, he demands Thos to wake from sleep and take the group out of the Down Below World to the surface above, thereby changing what they've been and who they are. Thos awakens. She asks the group if she can put a spell on them, which would make them subservient to her. She explains that only by relinquishing their free will can she bring them to the surface of the planet. If they act as one, with her having complete control over their souls, the journey to the surface will be successful. Unsettled by Thos' desire to cast a spell on the group, Sine determines he must kill Thos. He believes Thos' intentions may be pure, but he cannot stand to see the Thosians become her mindless drones. He knows killing her may be suicidal, but he tells the others to step aside as he confronts her. He looks deep inside his soul, opens his mind's eye and deals her an immense psychic blow.

Part I: Long Thought Lost
She was long thought lost
At such a great cost
Some say that she slept
Others that she'd left
But before our eyes
The goddess there lies
A queen petrified
Enstoned she resides

Part II: Wake then from Sleep
Time doesn't show
And time doesn't know
where you've been
or who you are

God doesn't care
And God doesn't share
what you've been
or why you are
Moon, day and night
are all you've been
and all you are

Wake then from sleep
Take us from the deep
change what we've been
and change who we are

Part III: Thos Unearthed (instrumental)

Part IV: Can I Put a Spell on You?
Can I Put a Spell on You?
Then I'd Tell You What to Do
Don't worry I'll guide you through
And our journey will be true, true
Once you're under my control
I will take hold of your soul
and lead you out from this hole
Once again you will be whole, whole

Fear not I will make you free
And then all you'll need is me
No longer you'll want to see
Yourself individually

Part V: Deicide
It's regicide
It's deicide
I know it's suicide
So step aside
This false god
now must die
Look inside
Open wide
Your inner eye
Undeify
Evil queen,
you must die
12. Post-synergistic, Atmospheric Explosion

The death of Thos causes the planet of Progkp to explode. However, the portion of the planet Sine, the Spirit Usher, the Thosians and the inhabitants of Obsidian City are in stays in tact and begins its own orbit around the star Progkp orbited.

Ultra-magnetic, pre-magmatic

Combustion
Radioactive, critically massive
Compulsion
Post-climactic, a new planet…
In motion…
In motion…
In motion…

13. Chamber of Reflections

The Thosians, upset their god and planet have been destroyed, ask Sine where he has gone and how they are supposed to move on. As he is being spirited away by the Spirit Usher to his next trial, Sine tells the Thosians all they need to know is inside their souls. They can now rectify their lives and should embrace the new world that has broken off from Progkp and is independent of Thos.

Where have you gone
and what have you done?
Does it even matter
in the ever after?

Below in the center
Thos was our mentor
Now that she is gone
how do we move on?

Inside each molecule
is written the rule,
the miracle of one
above and beyond

Hidden in your souls
all there is to know
Symmetry is breaking
Your minds are now awaking

Rectify your lives
Embrace the new skies
All phases completed
You have transmutated
