Sounds of CCR (contd.)
Sounds of CCR is a project whereby every couple weeks or so we post an audio file produced by a Cubby Control Records artist, friend or fan. It can be any sound: a song, a demo, a story, a poem, a loop, a field recording, your cat meowing -- you get the idea.

2013.11.22 :: The current sound is "the Kennedy Tribute mix by Matt Boudreau" which was created as part of the ongoing Make Your Own Song project of The Cubby Creatures, and now Cubby Control Records, whereby one is able to make their own song either by writing lyrics to the Cubby Creatures' version of the song or by downloading the files of the individual tracks and making one's own mix.

2013.09.22 :: The current sound is "This Is Not Mine, His" by The Cubby Preachers. This specific track was written, performed and recorded by Dane Patterson for the brand new album Cubby Preachers 4 out now on Cubby Control Records.

2013.06.24 :: The current sound is "Fear" by Gnom i Snegovik, from their brand new album Myzel out now on Cubby Control Records. Gnom i Snegovik hail from St. Petersburg, Russia, and the release of Myzel marks the first time Cubby Control Records has put out an album from an artist not based in San Francisco!

2013.04.21 :: The current sound is "REPTIEL Live on KALX," recorded Feb. 16, 2013 on KALX 90.7 FM in Berkeley, and includes a performance of their new album Violent Sagas of the Ancients in its entirety .

2013.03.19 :: The current sound is "Gamigin," by REPTIEL, from their new album Violent Sagas of the Ancients.

2013.02.16 :: The current sound is "Drum and Vox Jam with various verbs," by REPTIEL, as part of their Audio Vérité Series.

2013.01.21 :: The current sound is "Bee Swarm Houses," another iPhone tune by Cubby Control Records artist Alec Way, member of REPTIEL and The Cubby Preachers.

2012.10.31 :: The current sound is "A Stormy Night" by Cubby Control Records artist Jol Devitro, co-founder of the Cubby collective, the Cubby Creatures and the Cubby Preachers. Jol describes "A Stormy Night" as "a spooky Halloween song." And if you listen closely, you may hear Cubby Control Records founder Brian Weaver freaking out his wife.

2012.10.15 :: The current sound is "Flaxen" by Cubby Control Records artist Alec Way, member of REPTIEL and The Cubby Preachers. Alec reports that "Flaxen" was recorded using various apps on his iPhone going into a TASCAM DP-004 Pocket Studio.

2012.08.15 :: The current sound is "I Am Art" by The Cubby Preachers, which is the title track of their latest release I Am Art, available for purchase here.

2012.06.18 :: The current sound is "Conjuration" by REPTIEL, from the first release of their new Audio Vérité Series, which is available for download here.

2012.01.09 :: The current sound is "Sexual Buddha" by The Cubby Creatures, from their first full-length release The Blessed Invention, which has just recently become available for purchase through Cubby Control Records.
